ABOUT CHRISTIAN ERBEN

Christian Erben (she/her) is a contract stage manager and theatre artist based in the Twin Cities. She has held various management roles ranging from stage management, production management, company management, and casting at theaters such as Theater Latté Da, The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, Artistry MN, Theater Mu, Lyric Arts, Lakeshore Players Theatre, Ashland Productions, and Bunce Performing Arts. She worked for two years as the full time Associate Production Manager and Company Manager for Theater Latté Da in Minneapolis, MN. She also assisted that company as a Casting Associate, and during her time in that role, was also the Stage Management Swing for Latté Da's productions of Passion, School Pictures, and Scotland, PA, and the Stage Manager for a workshop of a new musical, Heaven Can Wait. She recently rediscovered her love of performing by being part of the October 2025 edition of Musical Mondays, a musical theatre cabaret hosted by Max Wojitanowicz at LUSH Lounge & Theater. This led into her first role in a production in the Twin Cities: Florence/Ensemble in Bright Star as Ashland Productions in Maplewood, MN, which ran in January and February of 2026.

Christian moved to Minneapolis, MN in the fall of 2022 after living in and around Austin, TX her whole life! She graduated with a B.A. in Theatre from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX, where she emphasized stage management, performance, and properties. She started out doing theatre as an actor, and was subconsciously stage managing everything and everyone around her, until she discovered that her many annoying gifts could be used for good... Once stage management fell into her lap, she never looked back. She started working professionally as a stage manager in Austin, TX in 2018 and has been in love with management ever since.

Outside of the Twin Cities, in the summer of 2023, she spent the summer living and working at The Black Hills Playhouse in Custer, SD, where she served as the Stage Manager for Silent Sky and The Drowsy Chaperone, and the Production Manager for 9 to 5. At her home theater in Austin, TX, TexARTS Association, she stage managed shows such as The Last Five Years & The Full Monty, as well as served as the Assistant Stage Manager for their production of Annie. She also made her professional musical debut there as Beadle Bamford in their production of Sweeney Todd in 2022 before moving up to Minnesota.
